Work seriously.
Stay human.
Culture is not a poster on the wall. It is how we talk to each other, how we handle mistakes, how we help someone who is stuck, and how we treat the work when nobody is watching.
Good people.
Keep growing.
We are a small team building something bigger than ourselves.
That means everyone matters. A good idea can come from a junior team member. A mistake can become a lesson. Someone who knows something should help someone who does not. And when the work needs to get done, we show up and do it together.
There is no perfect team.
There is a team that keeps improving.
These are the simple behaviours we want to see in the people who work with us.
Ask “why?”
You are allowed to ask questions. In fact, we want you to. Understanding why something is done often matters more than simply knowing how to do it.
Say when you don't know.
Nobody knows everything. We would rather hear “I don't know yet” than discover a problem later because someone was afraid to ask for help.
Don't leave people stuck.
If you know the answer, help. If you do not know the answer, help find someone who does. We want knowledge to move through the team, not stay with one person.
Take responsibility.
When something is yours, own it from beginning to end. Communicate the progress, raise problems early, and make sure the final result is actually ready.
Feedback is part of the work.
Sometimes your work will come back with changes. That does not mean you failed. It means we are trying to make the final result better.
Treat people like people.
Different people learn at different speeds and see problems differently. We can disagree about work without disrespecting the person doing it.
You do not have to be the smartest person in the room. You have to be willing to learn and willing to contribute.
We are building a team where people can become better because they work with other people who care about the work.
What does the culture actually look like?
Culture is easiest to understand through the small things that happen during an ordinary workday.
Mistakes are not the enemy.
We care about quality, but we also understand that people need room to learn.
Make the mistake visible.
When something goes wrong, tell the right person early. Hidden problems usually become bigger problems.
Understand what happened.
We look for the reason behind the problem instead of simply looking for someone to blame.
Improve the system.
If the same mistake can happen again, improve the process, documentation, training, or checklist.
We will not expect you to know everything on day one.
If you are willing to learn, we will try to give you opportunities to learn.
If you make a mistake, we will expect you to learn from it.
If you do good work, we want to give you more opportunity to grow.
And if you have a better idea, we want you to tell us.
Bring your skills.
Bring your curiosity.
You do not need to have everything figured out. Tell us who you are, what you can do, and what you want to learn next.
